On May 9, 2020, at approximately 1:14 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on westbound US26 near milepost 382, in Irwin.

Clifford Wood, 49, of Driggs, was driving westbound on US26 in a 2005 Honda Accord. Wood drove off the left shoulder where the vehicle overturned, struck a power pole, and knocked it over, before coming to rest on its roof.

Wood was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
