Shortly after 7:30 AM this morning, November 9, 2015, the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash involving a Snake River School District school bus. Lanett Sanders, age 41, of Blackfoot was traveling eastbound on State Highway 39, slowing to turn onto 1075 W. Dekan Peterson, age 16, of Blackfoot, was also eastbound in a Toyota pickup. Peterson struck the bus from behind. Peterson was not wearing his seatbelt and received injuries from the crash. There were passengers on the bus at the time of crash, but neither they nor Sanders were injured. The investigation is ongoing.
