Idaho State Police is investigating a crash that occurred on April 7, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., near Emmett, Gem County, Idaho. An 82 year old male from Emmett, Idaho, was driving a 2007 Jeep Liberty northbound on Mill Road. A 35 year old male from New Plymouth, Idaho, was driving a 2018 Ford F250 pickup westbound on SH52 approaching Mill Road. The driver of the Jeep failed to yield to the Ford in the intersection of SH52 and Mill Road. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital by air ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries.
