On Saturday, July 1, 2017, at approximately 12:26 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on I15 at milepost 81, near Fort Hall, ID.

Gary Frongner, 63, of Shelley, ID, was traveling southbound, in a 2002 Chevy Avalanche, when he lost control, went off the left shoulder, and rolled. The vehicle came to rest on its side in the northbound lanes.

Frongner was wearing his seatbelt and was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID. The lanes were blocked for approximately one hour.

This crash in under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
