On September 11, 2013, at approximately 7:55 a.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Farmway Road and Ustick Road in Canyon County. Tommy Gilmore, 51, of Kuna, was traveling southbound on Farmway Road in a 2013 Kenworth semi truck hauling frozen potatoes. A white 1993 Nissan Maxima was traveling westbound on Ustick Road when it failed to stop at the stop sign. Gilmore's vehicle struck the Nissan on the passenger side. The semi truck then continued through the guardrail, down an embankment, and then rolled over onto its side. The driver of the Nissan was transported to Saint Alphonsus in Boise by ground ambulance. Gilmore was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Nissan's name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt. Gilmore was wearing a seatbelt. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
