On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at approximately 10:52 P.M, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash westbound Interstate 84, near mile marker 72.
James Lubacky, 54, of Star, was driving westbound on Interstate 84, near mile marker 72, in a 1992 Jeep Wrangler. Lubacky drove off the right shoulder and contacted the rumble strips. He then overcorrected, drove through the median, and across the eastbound travel lanes before overturning the Jeep on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes. Lubacky was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the Jeep. He was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, in Boise.
The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately one hour. This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
