Shortly after 3:00 PM today, the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, non-injury crash on State Highway 55 at milepost 150, three miles north of McCall. Amanda Benke, age 33 of Lewiston was driving northbound when she lost control of her vehicle on slick roads, crossed over into the southbound lanes, and struck Patricia Barrow, age 46 of McCall. Northbound traffic was completely blocked and southbound traffic was partially blocked for approximately one hour. Traffic was let through in alternating directions while crews worked to remove the vehicles. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The crash is still under investigation.
