On August 4, 2012, at 5:53 am, Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash on US Highway 91 at milepost 85. Jerad Knight, 20 of Idaho Falls was traveling northbound on a 1997 Honda motorcycle when he braked, lost control of the motorcycle, and laid it down in the roadway. Knight was transported to Portneuf Medical Center. He was wearing a helmet. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
