Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 2:46 p.m., on December 23, 2021, southbound on S. Indiana Ave. near E. Ustick Road, in Caldwell.

A 42-year-old male from Caldwell, was driving a 2013 Ford Focus southbound on S. Indiana Ave. The vehicle crossed over the northbound lane and onto the sidewalk. The vehicle struck a 68-year-old male from Caldwell. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Ford Focus was wearing a seat belt.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
