On Friday, April 5, 2013, at approximately 7:54 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash at the intersection of Southside Blvd and Bennett Rd in Nampa.

Benjamin Morse, 23, of Melba, was driving north on Southside Blvd in a 2004 Kia Sedona. Ryan Barnes, 39, of Nampa, was travelling east on Bennett Rd in a 2011 Chevy Silverado pickup. Barnes failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with Morse in the intersection. Both vehicles overturned and came to rest in a field at the northeast corner of the intersection.

Ryan Barnes, Benjamin Morse and his passenger Bethany Morse, 13, also of Melba, were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise. Benjamin Morse succumb to his injuries at St. Alphonsus Medical Center.

Benjamin and Bethany Morse were both wearing their seatbelts. It is unknown if Ryan Barnes was wearing his seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
