Fatal Crash Eastbound I84 at milepost 32 West of Nampa

CANYON COUNTY, ID – Idaho State Police is investigating a four-vehicle fatality crash which occurred on Thursday July 31, 2025, at approximately 6:06 pm on eastbound I84 at milepost 32 just west of Nampa.

A 57-year-old man from Boise was driving westbound on I84 in a gold 2005 Honda Pilot.  A 59-year-old female from Star was also driving westbound in a silver 2014 Toyota Tacoma.  The Honda Pilot attempted to make a lane change and collided with the driver side of the 2014 Toyota Tacoma.  The 2014 Toyota Tacoma then collided with the cement barrier in the median.  The Honda Pilot overcorrected and drove through the cross over into the eastbound lanes and collided with a 2024 Toyota Tacoma head on.  The 2024 Toyota Tacoma was driven by a 50-year-old male from Nyssa, OR.   A 45-year-old man from Kingsport, TN, was driving eastbound on I84 in a 2017 Ford van.  The Ford Van struck the 2024 Toyota Tacoma on the driver’s side.  The driver of the Honda Pilot succumbed to their injuries on scene. 

A juvenile passenger in the Honda Pilot was transported by ground ambulance to a local area hospital. 

A 48-year-old female passenger of the Ford van from Brazil was transported by ground ambulance to a local area hospital.   The female passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

All the other occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Eastbound I84 was blocked for approximately four hours as crews worked to assist those on scene.
