Fatal Crash Near Melba

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately at 3:56 pm, on February 7th, 2025, on Melba Road, just west of Melba.

A 24-year-old male from Mexico, was driving eastbound on Melba Road in a Maroon 1993 Nissan Altima. The Altima left the roadway, overcorrected, and rolled. The vehicle came to rest off the roadway, on the right shoulder.

The driver of the Altima was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 3 hours to allow emergency services to assist those involved.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Paramedics, and Melba Fire Department. ISP would like to thank all the agencies that assisted in this incident.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police
