On Sunday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 4:01 A.M., Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal crash at 25167 Lower Pleasant Ridge Road, one mile south of Wilder.

Fernando Martinez, 21, of Homedale, was westbound on Lower Pleasant Ridge Road in a Blue 1999 Ford F250. Martinez veered off the roadway and hit a parked tractor.

Martinez was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision. Next of kin has been notified. The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two hours and forty-five minutes.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Canyon County Sheriff's Office, Canyon County Coroner's Office and Wilder Fire Department.
