On December 18, 2021, at approximately 8:21 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle vs. pedestrian fatality crash near the northbound off-ramp of I15 at exit 116, near Idaho Falls.

A 41-year-old male from Shelley, Idaho was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado northbound when a 26-year-old male from Meridian, Idaho traveled through the median, ran out into the road and was struck by the vehicle.

The male succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Next of kin has been notified.

ISP was assisted on scene by Idaho Falls Police Department, Idaho Falls Ambulance and Idaho Falls Fire. The northbound off-ramp was closed for approximately 1.5 hours.
