INCIDENT NARRATIVE: At approximately 9:00 PM reports were received that a male subject (Pope) was acting eratically and walking/standing in the middle of the highway on SH53 near the Idaho/Washington stateline. Officers arrived onscene and reported that Pope had been struck by a vehicle. Officers and medical personnel tended to Pope at the scene where he was pronounced dead.
