Fatal Crash US95 near milepost 308, Clearwater River Casino

LEWISTON, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:34 p.m. on August 24th, 2024, northbound US Highway 95 at the entrance of the Clearwater River Casino in Lewiston, Idaho.

A 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle, being operated by a 73-year-old male from Lewiston, Idaho, was traveling northbound on highway 95 near mile post 308 when a 2023 Buick Envision, driven by an 85-year-old male from Mountain Home, Idaho, was attempting to exit the Clearwater Casino parking lot to travel southbound. As a result, the Kawasaki collided with the side of the Buick.

The rider of the Kawasaki was pronounced deceased on scene. The occupants of the Buick were uninjured and were both wearing seatbelts.

Next of kin have been notified.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
