On February 13th, 2020 at approximately 7:09 p.m. a fatal crash occurred on Interstate 90 at milepost 2, in Post Falls, Idaho. For unknown reasons a pedestrian, Eduardo Quezada-Pelayo, 22, of Hesperia, California was in the westbound right lane of travel when he was struck by a 2019 Freightliner Semi truck driven by Steven L. Cotton, 65, of Spokane Valley, Washington. Mr. Quezada-Pelayo was transported to Kootenai Health where he was pronounced deceased. Mr. Cotton was wearing his safety belt. Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is ongoing. If you witnessed this crash please contact Trooper Max Mohr with the Idaho State Police at 208-209-8730.
