On February 23rd, 2018, at 6:51 pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on SH54 at milepost 9.1, east of Athol, Idaho. Jeanne F. Wolcott, 74 years old, of Athol, Idaho, driving a red 2016 Ford Edge, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of travel when she struck a black 2016 Chevy Equinox, driven by Lawana J. Holden, 68 years old, of Athol, Idaho, head on. Wolcott, Holden and Wolcott's passenger, Luella L. Wolf, 57 years old, of Sandpoint, Idaho, were all wearing their seatbelts and were all transported to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. On February 28th, 2018, at 2:44 am, Holden was pronounced deceased at Kootenai Health. Investigation is continuing.
