UPDATE: Fatality Crash in Canyon County

Correction: The passengers in the RAM 3500 were a 50-year-old female of Caldwell, Idaho and a 21-year-old female of Caldwell, Idaho.

The Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at 5:17pm in the area of Emmett Road and Hollow Road in Canyon County, Idaho.

A blue 2015 Toyota Scion TC, driven by a 31-year-old female of Emmett, Idaho, was southbound on Emmett Road. A dark blue 2022 RAM 3500, driven by a 50-year-old male of Caldwell, Idaho, with two passengers, a 50-year-old female of Caldwell, Idaho and a 45-year-old male of Emmett, Idaho, was northbound on Emmett Road.

The Toyota crossed over the center line and the vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and succumbed to her injuries on scene. The female passenger of the RAM was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The driver and male passenger of the RAM were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. All three occupants of the RAM were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Assisting Agencies: Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Paramedics, Middleton Fire Department, Life Flight, and Gem County Sheriff’s Office.

This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
