Fatality Crash Near Meridian

MERIDIAN, Idaho – Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a vehicle collision which occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 2:29 A.M., on westbound I84 at mile marker 42, in Ada County.

A Kia Rio and a Subaru Impreza were traveling westbound on I84.  The Kia struck the rear of the Subaru, which left the roadway.  The Kia was disabled in the lane of travel when the driver exited the vehicle and was struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage also traveling westbound on I84.

The driver of the Kia, a 23-year-old man from Meridian, succumbed to his injures at the scene of the crash.  The driver of the Subaru, a 32-year-old man from Caldwell, and the driver of the Mitsubishi, a 25-year-old woman from Caldwell, were not transported.

Three lanes of travel on I84 were blocked for approximately three hours, allowing emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
