Fatality Crash on Deer Creek Road new Whitebird Grade

Idaho State Police investigates single vehicle crash on Deer Creek Rd. in Idaho County, Idaho.

White Bird, Idaho- Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle fatality crash on Deer Creek Rd.

Just before 7:14 p.m. on July 16th 2024, Idaho State Police (ISP) troopers responded to a single vehicle crash 13 miles west of Whitebird Grade on Deer Creek Rd. During the investigation it was determined that a Ford F250 pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on a compact dirt road where the vehicle lost control, struck a ditch before rolling once. The 42-year-old male driver of Grangeville, Idaho succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. No other vehicles or individuals were involved. The roadway was not closed for any amount of time. Next of kin has been notified.

Idaho County Sheriff’s office assisted with investigating the incident.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
