On July 19, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash near Hope, Idaho on SH200 in Bonner County.

Robert L Eagle, 64, of Clark Fork, ID, was driving eastbound SH200 near milepost 46, in a red 1993 Nissan pickup. Eagle went left of center, striking Robert R O'Connor, 57, of Bayview, ID, traveling westbound SH200 in a gray 2004 Ford F250 pickup. Eagle's vehicle then struck a second vehicle, a white 2016 Nissan Altima driven by Hope H Kinney, 23, of Tempe, AZ. Eagle was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The highway was blocked for approximately 3-hours. Next of kin has been notified and the investigation continues.
