Fatality Crash SH41 near Clagstone Rd., Blanchard, ID

BLANCHARD, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. on May 5, 2025, on State Highway 41 near Clagstone Rd., in Blanchard, Idaho.

A 100-year-old female driver from Blanchard, Idaho, was traveling southbound on State Highway 41 in a brown 1998 Chrysler Town and Country minivan and was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Clagstone Road. Simultaneously, a 59-year-old male, also from Blanchard, Idaho, was traveling northbound on State Highway 41 at a high rate of speed on a Suzuki motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the minivan.

The driver of the minivan was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital. The motorcycle rider, who was not wearing a helmet, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The highway was blocked for approximately three hours to allow for emergency response and investigation but has since reopened to normal traffic.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
