Fatality Crash State Highway 3 MP 88

Saint Maries, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred at 4:40 a.m. on December 11, on state highway 3 near milepost 88, near Saint Maries, Idaho.

at approximately 4:40 a.m., a 55-year-old female, from Saint Maries, Idaho, was travelling northbound on state highway 3 in a Chevrolet Captiva. The vehicle went off the roadway and came to rest against a tree. The driver sustained critical injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to an area hospital. The driver later succumbed to her injuries.

There were no other occupants inside the vehicle. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation continues.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 3-hours, and the roadway is now open.
