Fatality crash US95 at milepost 495, Boundary County

On April 14, 2025, at approximately 11:59 am, Idaho State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash located on US95 at milepost 495 in Boundary County. 

A blue Honda Odyssey van, driven by a 33-year-old male of Spokane, WA,  was traveling southbound on US95.  A blue Chevrolet GMT-400 pickup, driven by a 50-year-old male of Naples, ID, with a juvenile passenger, were traveling southbound on the highway in front of the Honda Odyssey.  The Honda Odyssey rear ended the Chevrolet GMT-400 pickup, pushing the vehicle into a northbound Honda Ridgeline, driven by a 79-year-old male of Coeur

d’Alene, ID, along with a passenger, a 72-year-old female of Coeur d’Alene, ID.  The Honda Ridgeline and the Chevrolet pickup both started on fire after collision.  The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The juvenile of the Chevrolet pickup was life flighted to an area hospital.  The female passenger from the Honda Ridgeline was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. It is unknown if the occupants in the Chevrolet pickup were wearing a seatbelt.

Next of kin has been notified. The investigation is ongoing.
