On Thursday, May 25, 2017, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound on I84 near milepost 73, east of Boise.
A Motorcyclist was westbound on I84 when their rear tire blew; the rider lost control and crashed onto the roadway.
The rider was not wearing their helmet and was transported by ground ambulance to St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
The lanes were blocked for approximately 30 minutes.

The right lane of westbound travel has been re-opened, however, the left lane is still blocked and motorists should still expect delays.

At this time, Idaho State Police is responding to a crash westbound on I84 at milepost 73, one mile west of Simco Rd. All lanes of westbound traffic are currently blocked. Motorists should expect significant delays in the area.
