On Friday, July 11, 2014, at 2:36 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash with injuries on Interstate 15 at exit 71 in Pocatello.

Joan M. Henderson, 81 years old of Pocatello, was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus, north on Interstate 15 when she drove off the right shoulder and into the gore for the Pocatello Creek exit. The Taurus struck a tree before coming to rest. Henderson was wearing a seatbelt and was taken by ground ambulance to the Portneuf Medical Center. No blockage was reported.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance from the Pocatello Police Department.

The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a one vehicle injury crash that occurred on Interstate 15 at exit 71. The crash is off the road in the gore for the Pocatello Creek exit in Pocatello. There is no blockage. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area at this time. More information will be released when available.
