On Friday, September 8, 2017, at 1:52 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 169, near Jerome.

Hui Huang, age 52, of Richardson, Texas, was driving westbound in a 2009 Toyota SUV when she failed to maintain her lanes and drove into the median. Huang then overcorrected, drove across the westbound lanes, where her vehicle came to rest on its top on the right shoulder. Huang was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

Huang was wearing a seatbelt. The right lane of westbound travel was blocked for approximately one and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
