Fire Response Leads to Road Closures on SH-21 at Highland Valley Road

ADA COUNTY, Idaho – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is actively responding to a fire on State Highway 21 (SH-21) near Highland Valley Road, around mile marker 13.5. This fire has prompted road closures and increased public safety efforts. The Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Boise Police Department, and Idaho State Police (ISP) are assisting with traffic control to ensure public safety.

Road Closures:

  • SH-21 is closed at Warm Springs Road.
  • Warm Springs Road is closed between Eckhart Road and SH-21.

Access is limited to local residents and parents picking up children from school. In-and-out privileges will only be granted to these individuals as the road is closed to the general public.

The public is urged to avoid the area to allow emergency responders to manage the situation.

There is currently no estimated time for reopening. The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is coordinating notifications regarding the closures. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
