On Thursday, March 29, 2018, at approximately 5:03 p.m., Idaho State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero traveling northbound on I15 near mile marker 73, north of Pocatello, after observing traffic violations.

The driver was identified as Joseph Willoughby, 54, of Billings, MT and the passenger was identified as John R. Veum, 54, also of Billings, MT.

During the traffic stop, the trooper became aware criminal activity was taking place. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing five pounds of methamphetamine. Both Willoughby and Veum were arrested and booked into Bannock County Jail.
