Five Vehicle Collision Results in One Fatality in Jerome County

JEROME, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a five-vehicle fatality collision that occurred at 1:38 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at SH25 and US93, in Jerome County.

A 2024 white Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 36-year-old male from Boise, ID was traveling eastbound on SH25 when it failed to stop at a stop sign colliding with four other vehicles.

The following vehicles and drivers were involved in the collision:

A 2006 white Ford F450 driven by a 45-year-old male from Buhl, Idaho.

A 2022 silver Subaru Forester driven by a 75-year-old female from Jerome, Idaho.

A 2022 white GMC Sierra driven by a 36-year-old female from Twin Falls, Idaho.

A 2008 black Honda Civic driven by a 48-year-old male from Jerome, Idaho.

All occupants of all vehicles were wearing seat belts. The driver of the black Honda was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the white Toyota was arrested on probable cause for felony vehicular manslaughter and booked into the Jerome County Jail.

The entire intersection at US93 and SH25 was blocked for approximately five hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), Jerome Rural Fire, Jerome City Fire, Jerome Highway District, and Magic Valley Paramedics.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
