On April 10, 2013 at approximately 6:38 pm, an Idaho State Police motorcycle unit saw three motorcycles driving at a high rate of speed on I84. Idaho State Police caught up to the motorcycles and attempted to make a traffic stop. Two of the motorcycle drivers pulled to the side of the road. The lead motorcycle driver, Alexsandr A. Tymoshchuk, 19 of Meridian, fled and a pursuit began.

Tymoshchuk laid his 2002 Yamaha Motorcycle down at the roundabout intersection of Amity Road and South Eagle Road and was apprehended. Tymoshchuk was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. He is being charged with felony eluding and driving without privileges.
