Idaho State Police investigates Injury crash on Lewiston Hill near milepost 317.

LEWISTON, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:49 a.m. on August 1st, 2024, on US Highway 95 near milepost 317, just north of Lewiston, Idaho.

At approximately 9:49 a.m., a 43-year-old male, from Lapwai, Idaho, was traveling northbound on US Highway 95 in a 2006 Kenworth tractor, pulling double-trailers loaded with wheat product. A blue 2013 GMC Sierra pickup, driven by a 27-year-old male from Lewiston, Idaho, was traveling northbound US Highway 95, behind the Kenworth tractor and trailers. The driver of the GMC Sierra pickup was traveling faster than the speed of the Kenworth and collided with the rear trailer being pulled by the Kenworth. Wheat product was spilled from the trailer onto the roadway. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Both drivers were transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance.

The roadway was blocked for approximately three hours. The Idaho State Police continue to investigate this crash.
