The Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 12:47 P.M., April 29, 2023, on I15 at mile post 55 near Inkom, in Bannock County.
The driver of a 2022 Kia Telluride, a 34-year-old woman from American Falls, and her two juvenile passengers were travelling southbound on I15 when a private ambulance on the side of the road pulled out into the lane of travel, with no lights or sirens on, and caused a collision. The 2021 Ford Transit private ambulance, driven by an 18-year-old male from Aberdeen, and occupied by a 68-year-old patient from Chubbuck, then rolled. Occupants of the private ambulance were transported via ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. Occupants of the Kia were transported via private vehicle to a nearby hospital and had all been wearing seatbelts.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho state police.
