On Sunday, November 25, 2012, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a report of a woman attacked by two men on Interstate 86 at milepost 28, near the entrance to Massacre Rocks State Park. Troopers responding to the scene quickly located the suspect vehicle. Troopers initiated a high-risk traffic stop westbound on Interstate 86 near milepost 8 in Cassia County, and detained two male subjects. The female victim was not located inside the suspect vehicle. Due to the nature of the crime and current weather and temperature conditions, the Power County Search and Rescue team responded to the area for assistance in locating the woman. A short time later, she was located in her Pocatello home with visible injuries.

Names of the parties involved are not being released at this time as the investigation is continuing. The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Power County Sheriff's Office and Power County Search and Rescue.
