Injury Crash Blocks Intersection in Caldwell

CANYON COUNTY – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred at approximately 4:34 pm on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the intersection of Cleveland Blvd and Happy Day Blvd in Caldwell.

A 65-year-old female from Nampa was driving westbound on Cleveland Blvd in a 2006 Saturn Vue.  A 26-year-old female from Nampa was driving southbound on Happy Day Blvd in a 2008 Hyundai Elantra.  The Saturn Vue failed to yield for the stop light and entered the intersection striking the Hyundai Elantra which was attempting to make a left-hand turn.  The driver of the Saturn was not wearing a seatbelt.  The driver of the Hyundai was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of Saturn was taken by ground ambulance to a local area hospital with serious injuries.

The intersection of Cleveland Blvd and Happy Day Blvd was blocked for approximately two hours as crews worked to assist those involved in the crash. 

This incident is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
