On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at approximately 3:34 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 near milepost 21. Justin D. Vanhorn, 37, of Chubbuck, was driving north on Interstate 15 in a recycling truck. Vanhorn drove off the left shoulder, came back across both lanes of travel, and drove through the guardrail. The truck rolled, coming to rest on its wheels, down a 150-foot embankment.

Vanhorn and his passenger, Joshua R. Westwood, 29, of Pocatello, were transported to Oneida County Hospital via ambulance. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
