On Friday, September 29, 2017 at approximately 6:12 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash at 2450 East 1300 South in Gooding County.
Jack M. Gray, 65, of Gooding, was driving a semi with empty double flatbed trailers westbound on 1300 South in Gooding. Gray stated the sun was in his eyes and he failed to see a John Deer tractor with a trailer loaded with hay. Gray struck the back of the trailer.
The tractor, driven by Tomas Huarilloclla Zapana, 35, of Gooding, overturned. Neither driver were wearing a seatbelt. Both drivers were transported by ground ambulance to the North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding.
The road was completely blocked for approximately four hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance from the Gooding County Sheriff's Office and Gooding City Police.
