On July 29, 2019 at approximately 3:43 p.m. an injury crash occurred on SH41 at Hoo Doo Loop, six miles south of Oldtown, ID. A red 2004 Jeep Cherokee occupied by Janet J. Contreras, 74, of Blanchard, ID was parked on the northbound shoulder when she was rear-ended by a white 1987 Chrysler Le Baron sedan driven by John A. Watson, 86, of Blanchard, ID. Watson was airlifted to Kootenai Health. Contreras was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
