On Saturday, July 13, 2013, at approximately 10:10 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash that occurred on the connector near 13th Street in Boise.

Per witnesses, a 1997 Honda motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed west bound on Front Street coming onto Interstate 184 near 13th street. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and sideswiped the concrete barrier on the right shoulder between 13th Street and the Garden City exit. Both occupants of the motorcycle were thrown.

The driver, Todd W. Johnson, 47 years old of Nampa, was transported by ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. His passenger, Shawna E. Henkel, 25 years old of Nampa, was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's in Meridian. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
