Update: Fatal Crash near Eden

Update: The passenger of the Subaru succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.

Jerome County, ID – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:14 a.m. on May 24, 2025, on westbound I-84, at mile marker 183.3, near Eden.

A grey 2013 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling westbound on I-84 when it left the roadway. The driver overcorrected, lost control of the vehicle, and it overturned, coming to rest near E 990 S.

The driver, a 28-year-old man from Mexico, was wearing a seatbelt and did not require ambulance transport. The passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Mexico, was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, First Segregation Fire Department, Rock Creek QRU, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Air St Lukes.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
