Idaho State Police is investigating a collision that occurred on July 26, 2022, at 4:30 pm, at westbound I84 at milepost 36, the Franklin exit, in Canyon County.

A 22-year-old male, from Spirit Lake, ID, was driving westbound on I84 on a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when traffic slowed. The motorcycle struck the back of a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 37 year-old female, from Kennewick, WA. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby local hospital.

The driver of the pickup was wearing their seatbelt. The motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet.

The lanes were blocked for 2 hours while emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
