At approximately 8:50 am today, Idaho State Police responded to an injury crash north bound US95 at mile post 307, south of Lewiston. Kanin J. Morrell, 23, of Lapwai, Idaho, was entering US95 from Nez Perce Drive in a silver 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt. Mr. Morrell failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a red 2011 Chevrolet C15 truck driven by Guy W. Broncheau, 45, also of Lapwai, Idaho. Both vehicles came to rest in the median. Mr. Morrell was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. The investigation is ongoing.
