On February 18, 2020 at approximately 5:15 pm, an injury crash occurred, northbound US 95 at milepost 311, Lewiston, Idaho. A silver 2007 Ford Mustang, driven by Cornelius J Mcallaster, 24, Lapwai, Idaho, was travelling northbound when he rear ended an orange 2019 Dodge Journey driven by Jacqueline K Zimmerman, 49, Juliaetta, Idaho. Ms. Zimmerman lost control of her vehicle causing her to cross into the southbound lane where it came to rest on the shoulder of the road. Mr. Mcallasters vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest in the northbound lanes. Ms. Zimmerman was wearing her seat belt and was treated and released at the scene. Mr. Mcallaster was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected and transported to St Josephs Medical Center in Lewiston. The road was blocked for approximately 3 hours. Speed is believed to be a factor. The investigation continues.
