Injury crash off of Grangemont Rd in Orofino

Orofino,ID – Idaho state police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred around 10:30pm on April 22nd across from 3339 Grangemont Rd. 

At about 10:30 pm a 54-year-old male from Lewiston,ID, was traveling Westbound on Grangemont Rd in a Ford F250. The male drove off the road and down a steep embankment where the truck came to rest against a tree. The driver of the Ford sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. 

There were no other occupants in the vehicle. 

The roadway was blocked for approximately 4 hours for extrication 

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
