On September 24, 2019 at 3:07 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on Plum Road and Lowell Road, in Canyon County, just north of Marsing.
Miguel Hernandez, 58, of Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Lowell Road in a commercial vehicle hauling onions. The commercial did not have proper working brakes. Hernandez lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway. The vehicle came to rest on its side in the Snake River.
Hernandez was transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The passenger of the commercial vehicle, Oscar Baez, 29, of Caldwell, was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell then transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
