On June 8, 2013, at approximately 5:37 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash northbound on SH31 at milepost 14.5, near Pine Creek Campground. Xiao Siyuan, 22 of Tempe, AZ was traveling northbound in a 2001 Infinity when he went around a tight corner and lost control of the vehicle. Siyuan's vehicle went off the road and down an embankment and rolled, coming to rest on its side. Chun Tao, 23 of Tempe, AZ was the passenger and both occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Both subjects were transported by ground ambulance to Teton Valley Hospital.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Teton County Sheriff's office at the time of the crash.
