On Friday, November 6, 2015, at approximately 7:57 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash at the intersection of Middleton Road and Smith Avenue in Nampa. Mark A. Austin, 47, of Caldwell, was traveling eastbound on Smith Avenue in a 2000 Ford Mustang. Austin failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of Smith Avenue and Middleton Road. Neil C. Crane, 67, of Nampa, was traveling northbound on Middleton Road in a 1983 Chevrolet Suburban when he struck Austin's vehicle.
Austin was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
