Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that occurred at approximately 9:00 am on Monday, July 25, 2022, at westbound State Highway 28 at milepost 44, south of Lone Pine.

The driver of a 2007 Freightliner dump truck left the roadway, rolled, and came to rest on the right shoulder. The dump truck was occupied by a 51-year-old male from Rigby, ID. He was wearing a seatbelt. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital by air ambulance.

The westbound lane was blocked for four hours by emergency crews. This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
