INCIDENT NARRATIVE: Pierson was traveling southbound on SH 3 at milepost 14. He drifted left of center then struck the Jersey Barrier. The vehicle rolled down the embankment approximately 100 feet. Pierson required extrication from the vehicle and was air ambulanced to the hospital. The road was closed periodically to extricate the vehicle and clean the road. At this time the road is still closed. A press release will be sent when the road is re-opened.
